Upcoming course of lectures on European project preparation and managament

In the frame of TWISMA project, Intelligentsia consultants company (Luxembourg) will provide a series of lectures on European project preparation and managamenet. Now the schedule of the first (out of three) part of the course involving three modules has been announced:
27 Feb: Giles Brandon, "TWISMA: Module 1: Overview of EU project management"
21 Mar: Giles Brandon, "TWISMA: Module 2: Horizon Europe Project Life Cycle: Initiation Phase + Planning Phase"
17 Apr: Giles Brandon, "TWISMA: Module 3: Horizon Europe Project Life Cycle: Execution Phase + Control Phase + Closing Phase"

Each module will involve a 1 – 1.5 hours long online lecture. A few homework questions will be set for each module to help consolidate the knowledge learned during the lectures. Those who successfully complete the homework for each module will receive a certificate of project management at the end of the course.
Lecturers:
Giles Brandon

Giles Brandon is highly experienced in providing training in project management and proposal writing to researchers and research managers in EU funded projects (H2020 and Horizon Europe). Notably, he has helped to implement four Twinning projects evaluated "exceptional" in the EC's final reviews: ASCIMAT (2016-2018), TUTORIAL (2016-2018), DRIVEN (2018-2022) and MaNaCa (2019-2023). He is a member of the Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP), European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) and Institute of Physics (IOP). Since 2009, his company - Intelligentsia Consultants - has coordinated or supported over fifty (50) FP7, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects. Many such projects have involved research institutes in Widening Countries in the development of centres of excellence, integration into ERA, and technology transfer in the fields of physics, nanomaterials and sensors e.g. FP7 NANOMAT-EPC – evaluated “excellent”, FP7 SENS-ERA, FP7 SECURE-R2I, H2020 INTELUM, H2020 FIT-4-NMP – evaluated “excellent”, and H2020 NOMATEN Phase I – selected for 15m euro Phase II funding.
Anna Zmiievska

Dr. Anna Zmiievska is an expert in funding facilitation for research and innovation projects, with a focus on grant writing, project management, and scientific dissemination and communication. She currently serves as Project Director at Fundacja Partnerstwa Technologicznego in Warsaw, where she manages EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe. She is also the co-founder and Lead Project Director at Anromind, as well as Head of Partnership and Development at tradewithUA. In addition, she founded Anzy Home, a craft business supporting Ukrainian women through meaningful employment. Her extensive experience includes roles at the National Aerospace University and Intelligentsia Consultants, where she managed international collaborations and Horizon 2020 projects. A dedicated social entrepreneur, Dr. Zmiievska holds a PhD in Space Power Engineering and is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, and English. She is passionate about empowering young women in Ukraine through entrepreneurship and innovation.
